I got a new gadget today called the Knobby Knife. I first saw the Knobby Knife on Thumper Talk, and thought well I can buy that, or get a new tire. This year when I was ordering tires, and my bill was outrageous, so I also got me a Knobby Knife to give it a try. After it warmed up I practiced for about 30 minutes on a tire that has been sitting in the garage for some time. The hardest part is to get the piece off the tire that you just cut, but once you get the hang of it you can go alot quicker. When practice time was over I worked on the rear tire that was on my bike, and it took me about 40 minutes to complete it. If you are like me and have more time then money, or just don't like to waste money this is a product for you. The times that I will like the Knobby Knife most is when I look at my tire, and say I can get one more ride out of it. I will now be able to sharpen the knobs, and not worry about getting enough traction. With that being said the "gadget" I got in the mail I will now call a tool because it will save me money, and keep me from changing so many tires.
