MotoZ "DOT" Dirt Bike Tires Review

One of the best things about riding a dual sport motorcycle is, just as the name implies, you can ride them two ways....off-road or on

the street. But with this dual action advantage, you are usually forced to make a decision. Street legal or not? For me, my dual sport tires are the most difficult component of my bike to justify going the street legal route. I like my traction. I like knowing the level of traction that I'll get when I'm off-road with the off-road tires. But, what about on the street?

So, I decided to do a bit of research, and came across a company called Pacific Power Sports that sells MotoZ tires. Their tires are very aggressive, and DOT. And for an additional bonus, they are made from natural rubber which means they should last longer.

When it comes down to it I can guess all I want, but there is only one way to find out if the MotoZ tires are all that they say they are. That is try a tire on my bike, and see how it performs. I do know if the performance is comparable to my current off-road tires I will be making the change to MotoZtires to avoid having to pay for a ticket, as well as if something would happen on the road my insurance company couldn't say "the tires on that bike were not suppose to be on the road, so we will not cover this claim".

Update-After 459 miles knobs started to break off, and it was time to change the tire. Over all the MotoZ tire did a good job of hooking up, and seemed to shine in off camber situations, or turning.

Pros-Tire hooks up good in dryer conditions then very wet conditions.

Cons-Not carried by many dealers, so harder to get your hands on a tire.
